The International Competitive Grants Award Program for Young Investigators is a two-year grant program enabling young
investigators and advanced cardiovascular disease fellows from around the world to obtain funding for innovative research. For 2008, the 6 grants awarded were
for $55,000 USD per year for two years for each recipient.
Awards will be presented by Dr. Valentin Fuster, Chairman of the Foundation, at a reception on Monday, March 31, 2008, during the American College of Cardiology
57th Annual Scientific Session* at the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago, IL.
The reception will be opened with a welcome from GlaxoSmithKline's Senior Vice President of the Cardiovascular Metabolic MDC and General Manager of the
Alternative Development Program, Carlo Russo, MD.
